End of the YEAR

Hello 5/6 Families!
This has been the MOST WONDERFUL year!  Thank you for making everything so EASY!  You have been quick to step up, volunteer, donate, help out, and cheer your child on through the school year.  Your child and their teachers could not have done it without you.  THANK YOU!  Thank you to all of those who have signed up on SIGN UP GENIUS!  I appreciate how dependable and how quick you have been to help out.  The breakfast was awesome.  Thank you for sending in food and sticking around to help out by serving, cleaning, cooking, and guiding students.

If you haven't heard from me personally please know how wonderful your kids did at science camp.  They ALL seemed to have a GREAT time.  They were kept busy by excellent science leaders.  Their chaperones worked tirelessly taking them to classes, helping out in the cabins, making sure they ate, took their medications, were safe, etc.  It was a BIG job, and I think the chaperones did an awesome job.  It was a HUGE undertaking on their part, and I appreciate their efforts to make sure your kids had the best experience at camp.  Thank you chaperones!  Thank you families for sending your kids to camp with everything they needed.  Thank you for filling out all the forms, dropping off meds, and attending all the meetings.  Moms and Dads you have been GREAT!  Thank you Thank you!

Thank you for all the sweet notes, thoughtful gifts, and kind words!  I started to get the sadness of saying goodbye to all the students as the time to leave rapidly approached.  I will miss all of you 6th graders.  I wish you well in your 7th grade school year.  Work HARD.  Plan on attending college.  Work on your strengths and talents so that you can earn a scholarship!  I'm so happy to have 5th graders returning.  This next school year will be FUN and challenging!  Keep reading this summer and work on your math!  Welcome 4th graders!  I am excited to get to know you and have you show me what you know.  Science is AMAZING and all around us!  This world we live in is an incredible place and it is ours to learn about, discover, and to take care of each day.

Have an awesome summer.  I updated my weebly with a suggested supply list.  I will see you in JULY!

Yours in science,
Mrs. Biggs

We will be leaving camp on Friday by 11:00 am.  We will have breakfast, clean cabins, check out, have one last meeting and then be on our way back to the valley.  We will not have time to stop and feed the students on the trip home, so we will give them snacks before we get on the bus.  We will have pizza for the students/chaperones/teachers once we arrive back at ASU Prep.  We should arrive by 2:00 pm.  You can pick up your child at the normal pick up time of 3:15 pm.  If you need to pick them up earlier you will need to sign them out at the front office.
